Rugby - Northampton Saints
I love supporting and watching Northampton Saints.
It’s one of the things my wife and I do together, and that’s probably the biggest part of it. She enjoys it just as much as I do — in fact, she’ll go on her own if I’m off running somewhere, which says a lot.
We don’t sit in the stands.
We’re down in the terraces, right by the pitch, close enough to hear everything and feel every hit. It’s raw, loud, and a long way from the controlled world of structured training sessions.
There’s a real sense of being part of something — a tribe, all watching the same thing unfold, reacting together in real time. One minute you’re up, the next you’re not. It’s an emotional roller-coaster, and that’s exactly why it works.
It’s very different from running, but gets the heart beating just as fast!
