Why I Love Running in the Dark

There’s something special about running when the world is asleep.
No distractions, no traffic, no noise—just the quiet rhythm of your breath and your footsteps.

During my 2x1x24 Challenge, the overnight hours were when the magic (and the struggle) really began.
You learn a lot about yourself at 3am. You learn what you’re made of, how you talk to yourself, and how small actions—like eating a flapjack or changing your socks—can completely reset your energy.

Running in the dark teaches you trust: trust in your preparation, trust in your kit, trust in your mindset.

It’s not always comfortable—but it’s always worth it.
